A thunderstorm this evening
Many churches in the United Methodist Denomination face uncertainty as our Denomination is splintering. If you are looking for a new church home, please know that all are welcome and accepted at South Perinton UMC.
We will remain a part of the UMC and continue to carry out the mission of training up disciples of Jesus for the sake of the world. South Perinton UMC is also deeply committed to remaining an accepting, safe, and welcoming congregation for all people who walk through our doors. Everyone is welcome.
Be hopeful; there is great expectation that the restricting language effectively related to marriage equality and ordination for LGBTQIA+ people will be removed from the UMC Book of Discipline (the rule book) for churches remaining in the Denomination.
At South Perinton UMC, we strive each day to have "open minds, open hearts, and open doors."
-At South Perinton you will find a warm welcome by a caring congregation, teaching centered on the Word of God, ministries to meet the spiritual needs of every age, a fully handicapped accessible building and opportunities to serve others in our community and more distant locations through our missions programs.
