Weddings, Memorial Services and Funerals at SPUMC

 

For the sanctuary we usually ask for a small donation of $50-100.

 

A typical donation for use of our large fellowship room is about $150-200 with the exact amount determined after consultation about the specifics of the event and assistance needed. Of course larger donations are always appreciated.

 

There may also be a snowplowing cost depending on the weather

 

In case of hardship, we can consider reduced fees.

 

Our pastor and organist (should you choose to use ours) will discuss their fees with you separately.

 

Our facilities and grounds are tobacco product and alcohol free.

 

Inquiries about availability and planning should be made as early as possible - call our church office at 315-986-2306.

 

If you want another pastor to officiate at an event, our pastor’s approval is needed to ensure the service is compatible with the principles of the United Methodist Church. In some cases our pastor may want to be present even if not officiating.

 

Use of our fellowship room or kitchen requires us to assist and advise in the set up, take down, and post event cleaning responsibilities. Some events will need a set up before the day of use.

 

We do not have people readily available to provide, prepare and serve refreshments or food. You can get food or party trays and beverages from grocery stores or some restaurants. We have an oven and microwave for warming and a refrigerator, but cooking on site is not possible. We do have serving dishes/utensils and coffee makers.

 

It is necessary for users of our facilities to remove waste items into trash containers, remove unused food and usually assist in taking down tables and chairs and generally leave the facilities in the same condition as found.
